WE INVITE YOU TO BECOME A PART OF PTA!
We believe that when parents become involved in their child(ren)'s school, the children thrive! Parents who volunteer become more acquainted with the teachers and staff and therefore are much better informed about the school and its programs, resulting in a more informed understanding of academic and social expectations. When parents are more involved, they are better able to support and coach their students to participate to a greater degree and strive for higher achievement.
Therefore, parents are encouraged to be a part of their child's school. Opportunities are available in almost every area of school life. New parents are encouraged to complete a "Parent Involvement Form" and indicate where they would like their talents to be used. One very meaningful way to be involved is to join the PTA! Friendships are formed as parents work together to make a difference for their child and in their school community.
The purpose of PTA is to support the mission of Pacific Christian Academy by:
- Encouraging fellowship and genuine partnership among parents, teachers, and staff.
- Supporting communication between parents, employees, and the administration.
- Providing leadership and support for PCA fundraising activities.
- Praying for the school community.
- Providing support in the classrooms and at events.
Parent volunteers join many other servant-leaders who generate enthusiasm for our school and help provide safety and guidance for our students. Each one serves the Lord as he/she spends time in prayer for the school, seeking His blessing and grace on our families, students, and staff. Volunteers join our staff in being role-models of the fruits of the Spirit and keeping students safe as they partner with other parents and our teachers.
Every family is asked to volunteer 30 hours each year, making a contribution to their school and a lasting difference in the lives of our students!
Volunteering
While many of our parent volunteers make an important contribution to Pacific Christian Academy each year through our PTA, others assist the administrative and/or teaching staff with various tasks that bring excellence to the programs of PCA. This creates a community in which parents and students find joy and learning is enhanced throughout the spiritual and educational program.

Whether your talents lie in painting, dancing, editing, cooking/baking, or something not yet mentioned in the list above, please feel free to share your gifts with us and our students. We do not wish to limit God or you in what you can bring to the table at PCA!
Time Frame: Throughout the school year
PTA Hours: One hour earned for each hour served.
