Junior High

Pacific Christian Academy

Junior High School includes grades seven and eight, and is designed to give students the spiritual, academic, emotional, and social skills needed for success in life.  Organizational and study skills necessary to be successful in high school are taught throughout the curriculum. Junior High students are expected to maintain high academic standards and are taught by teachers who are schooled in their subject matter. Each student attends 5 core classes each day, along with 2 enrichment classes.  Academic Helps classes are available daily.

Spiritual formation is a focal point of junior high.  The Advance, at the beginning of the year, is a two day event which provides the opportunity for students to know God in a deeper way, have fellowship with other students and teachers, and begin team-building with their peers.  Students continue to develop a Christ-centered world view though daily Bible study as well as weekly chapels and ministry outreach in the community.

All students are required to present a project for the annual Academic Showcase in February.  Seventh graders often present a country of their choice, which ties in to their student of world history.  Eighth graders choose a science or English project to showcase their academic learning and skills.

We believe students learn to be leaders, to have character, and to work as a team by participating in sports.  Therefore, students are encouraged to try out for a sport, even if they have not played before. See the Athletic page for more information.
