Principal's Welcome

Welcome to Pacific Christian Academy!

Dear Parents and Guardians:

Pacific Christian Academy is a unique community of parents, students, teachers, and staff who love God.  We believe the most excellent, complete education comes when ALL aspects of each person – spiritual, emotional, physical, and mental – are addressed in a loving, encouraging, and engaging school environment.

In the uncertain times we live in, we know finding the right school and the right program for your child(ren) can be a daunting responsibility. We know the importance of your decision, so we welcome you to visit our campus and talk to our staff about PCA options.  On campus, there is an uncommon sense of freedom and confidence between our students and staff that creates an atmosphere that is alive and vibrant. We encourage our young ones to love God and each other, as we teach them in an environment of hope and high expectations. We are intensely involved in training and mobilizing this generation of young people to become an army of champions who are passionate in their walk with God and boldly love, lead, and serve others. For many of our students and staff, this is their home away from home; they spend their days with people who feel like family. Pacific Christian Academy is truly equipping the next generation.  In our hybrid, remote, and homeschool programs, we support parents who choose to educate in their homes.

We lead our region in diversity; educating students from all over the world. We offer dual credit classes in our high school, so that graduates leave with university credits.  We support students at every grade level who need additional help to learn. We prepare our students for higher education, always with a biblical worldview. We offer an engaging education and are constantly searching for and developing new, more effective ways of teaching our students.

We look forward to sharing our vision with you and invite you and your family to visit and tour our campus. Spending time on our campus as an “Eagle for a Day” and shadowing one of our student-leaders allows your student to have a first-hand experience of what makes our school so unique. Please contact us today to set an appointment and learn how we are "equipping the next generation" to lead and serve.

Serving God,

 Debbie Schindler

History and Future of PCA

Pacific Christian Academy was founded by Pastors Casey and Wendy Treat in 1984 as a ministry of Christian Faith Center. The church and school thrived and saw many students and families strengthened in their relationship to God. In 2007, Christian Faith Center and the school moved to Federal Way. At that time, it was determined that the church and school should become two distinct ministries. In 2009, Pacific Christian Academy became its own non-profit organization, focused on providing an excellent Christian education to the families of Federal Way and the surrounding communities. Today, the church and school enjoy a blessed relationship of support and ministry. The school leases space from Christian Faith Center, grateful for a relationship that allows both ministries to work side by side.

For 34 years, Pacific Christian Academy has provided families with premier, God-centered education to prepare children to lead lives of great promise and purpose. It is with this focus on the future - and great excitement, that we announce that effective July 1, Pacific Christian Academy transitioned to its official legal name of Pacific Christian Academy, having previously been known as Christian Faith Schools.

The new name remains a testament to who we are- Pacific for our beloved Pacific Northwest, Christian for our singular focus on Jesus Christ and his teaching, and Academy for our dedication to providing our students with strong academics and higher education preparation. We anticipate God's continued blessing on PCA as we strive to complete our mission in the lives of children and young adults.

Our Mission

Pacific Christian Academy is committed to offering families a superior Bible-based education that equips students to be socially relevant leaders who are fully prepared for higher achievement.

Our Vision

Pacific Christian Academy will thrive as a faith-filled, vibrant, spiritual, and academic community where students love and serve God sincerely as they learn in an engaging, Biblically-based culture, and environment. Each graduate will have a sense of destiny and be equipped as a visionary leader.

Core Values

We value God and His Word.

We value love for God, self, and neighbor.

We value truth and integrity.

We value family and community.

We value restoration leading to unity.

We value excellence.

We believe that the most important decision a person can make is to accept Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior.

We believe that every child is created with a God-given destiny and that we are privileged to disciple each student to discover and live out their gifting and destiny.

We believe that God’s plan is for parents to be the first teachers and primary decision-makers in their student’s education; therefore, we partner with parents in training and equipping their child for success.

We believe we honor God through our faith as we serve our community.

We believe that God desires restoration and calls us to speak with grace and compassion toward one another as we follow the principles of Matthew 18: 15-17.

We believe that faith-filled prayer allows God’s marvelous work on our behalf and therefore we pray without ceasing.

We believe in the move of the Holy Spirit through evidence of signs and wonders.

Our priority is to develop godly character in our students so that God is glorified in all they do.

Our priority is to teach true knowledge and wisdom through a Biblically-based, academically excellent education.

Our priority is to inspire, disciple, and equip life-long learners who are adept in social skills, critical thinking, and conflict resolution.

Our priority is to have all employees aspire to teach and disciple students by modeling a Biblical lifestyle.

Our priority is to provide opportunities for students to discover and express leadership through service to others.

Our priority is to provide a safe environment for all students: spiritually, emotionally, academically, socially, and physically.

Our priority is to meet the needs of all PCA learners through instruction, resources, and programs.

Our priority is to make PCA financially accessible to families for whom Christian education is a conviction, not just a preference.

Our purpose is to teach and exemplify foundational Biblical truths.

Our purpose is to instill vision and purpose in the heart and mind of every student.

Our purpose is to teach the joy and sacrifice of a faith-filled life.

Our purpose is to offer a rigorous education within a Biblical world view.

Our purpose is to live life with gratefulness and generosity.

Our purpose is to honor and celebrate ethnic diversity.

Our purpose is to have class sizes that allow teachers to meet the needs of each child.

Statement of Faith

We believe the Bible to be the inspired, only infallible, authoritative, inerrant, all sufficient Word of God (2 Timothy 3:15, 2 Peter 1:21).

We believe there is one God, eternally existent in three persons—Father, Son, and Holy Spirit (Genesis 1:1, Mathew 28:19, John 10:30).

We believe in the deity of Christ (John 2:11), His virgin birth (Isaiah 7:14, Matthew 1:23, Luke 1:35), His sinless life (Hebrews 4:15, Hebrews 7:26), His miracles (John 2:11), His vicarious and atoning death (1 Corinthians 15:3, Ephesians 1:7, Hebrews 2:9), His resurrection (John 11:25, 1 Corinthians 15:4), His ascension to the right hand of the Father (Mark 16:19), and His personal return in power and glory (Acts 1:11, Revelation 19:11).

We believe in the absolute necessity of regeneration by the Holy Spirit for salvation because of the exceeding sinfulness of human nature and that men are justified on the single ground of faith in the shed blood of Christ and that only by God’s grace and through faith are we saved (John 3:16-21; John 5:24; Romans 3:23, 5:8-9; Ephesians 2:8-10; Titus 3:5).

We believe in the resurrection of both the saved and the lost; those that have accepted Christ unto the resurrection of eternal life and those who have not accepted Christ unto the resurrection of eternal judgment (reference: John 5:28,29).

We believe in the spiritual unity of believers in our Lord Jesus Christ (Romans 8:9; 1 Corinthians 12:12-13, Galatians 3:26-28).

We believe in the present ministry of the Holy Spirit by whose indwelling the Christian is enabled to live a godly life (Romans 8:13-14; 1 Corinthians 3:16, 6:19-20; Ephesians 4:30, 5:18).

We believe that the key to living a victorious, biblical lifestyle is the renewing of the mind to God’s way of thinking. This means that our behavior and attitude exhibit the principles given in scripture (Romans 12:1-2).

We believe in the baptism of the Holy Spirit and praying other tongues (Acts 2:4, Acts 2:38).

We believe salvation is found only in Jesus Christ (John. 1:12, Acts 4:12, John 14:1).

We believe everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved (Romans 10:12).

We believe through repentance and turning to God there is total forgiveness of sins (Acts 3:19, 1 John 1:9).

We believe Jesus Christ came to earth as the Son of God. He lived a sinless life, was crucified on the cross for the sins of all humanity and was raised from the dead on the third day. He now rules and reigns in heaven and will one day return to the earth to rule as the King of Kings and the Lords of Lords.

We believe we are saved by faith, believing God raised Jesus from the dead and confessing Him as Lord (Romans 10:9-10).

We believe in water baptism for the born again person and the regular receiving of the Lord’s body and blood in the communion service. (Matt. 3:16; 28:19; Acts 8:36-39)

We believe that God immutable and with His purpose creates each person as male or female. These two distinct, complementary genders together reflect the image and nature of God. (Genesis 1:26 – 27). Rejection of one’s biological sex is rejection of the image of God within that person.

We believe that marriage is only defined as the uniting of one man and one woman in a single, exclusive union, as stated in Scripture. (Genesis 2:18 - 25). We believe that God intends sexual relationship and intimacy to occur only between a man and a woman who are married to each other. (1 Corinthians 6:18; 7:2 - 5; Hebrews 13:4)
