About
Principal's Welcome
Welcome to Pacific Christian Academy!
Dear Parents and Guardians,
We hope to welcome you to our school family very soon! Please look through the information on our website and consider our desire to partner with you in raising your children to be passionate about their faith in Jesus. We hope you are excited to visit our campus and find out more about how we accomplish our mission.
PCA is a unique community of parents, students, teachers, and staff who love God. We believe the most inspiring, complete education comes when ALL aspects of each child -- spiritual, emotional, physical, and mental -- are addressed in a loving, encouraging, and engaging school environment.
When parents ask me to share about the culture of Pacific Christian Academy, the first word that comes to my mind is “family.” So many students describe our school community as “my second family.” Students feel safe, they know they are loved by their teachers, and they enjoy sharing life with like-minded friends. The sense of freedom and confidence between our students and staff creates an atmosphere that is alive and vibrant. We encourage our young ones to love God and each other, as we teach them in an environment of hope and high expectations. We are intensely involved in training and mobilizing this generation of young people to become socially relevant leaders who are passionate in their walk with God and boldly love, lead, and serve others.
We lead our region in diversity, educating students from all over the world. Our students enjoy learning about different cultures and exploring the values they share while understanding there are also distinct differences. Servant leadership is taught as students reach out to encourage and bless others.
We support students at every grade level who need additional help to learn, and challenge those for whom academic learning comes easily. Our education is engaging, and we are constantly developing new, more effective ways of helping students retain content and develop skills. We prepare our students for higher education, always with a Biblical worldview. Dual and concurrent credit classes in our high school provide graduates with the option to move on to university already having earned college credits.
We look forward to sharing our vision with you and invite you to tour our campus. Spending time at PCA as an "Eagle for a Day," and shadowing one of our student-leaders, allows your child to experience first-hand what makes our school so unique. Please contact us today to set an appointment and learn how we are "equipping the next generation" to lead and serve.
Serving God,
Debbie Schindler

Historical Overview
Recognizing the need for an exceptional, Christ-centered school in the south Puget Sound region, Pacific Christian Academy, formerly Christian Faith School, was founded 40 years ago by Pastors Casey and Wendy Treat. Begun as a ministry of Christian Faith Center, the school was established “to train strong Christian children to impact our world for Christ.”
Under the direction of Dr. Don Wile, PCA held its first classes in the fall of 1984 with about 150 students in grades K-8. The school was initially located in Des Moines, Washington, and for the first two years teachers and parents met for two hours every morning in prayer over their new school. This commitment to pressing in to all that God had for this new school was richly rewarded, as God blessed with a quickly growing enrollment
The first CFS School Board was established in the fall of 2005, and the school earned ACSI accreditation in 2006 with a successful site visit. PCA has earned recognition as an accredited school each cycle since, with very strong accommodations, as growth and improvements were seen.
In 2007, one week prior to the first day of school, the school and the church moved to the newly developed campus of Christian Faith Center in Federal Way. CFS became a legally separate not-for profit organization in 2009, under the name of Pacific Christian Academy, and received a license from the church to continue to use the name Christian Faith School. Then, in 2019, the school determined to publicly use its legal name, Pacific Christian Academy.
In 2020, the church and school were notified that the church property was one of the top three considerations for Sound Transit’s new light rail Maintenance Facility. In 2024, the Christian Faith Center property was chosen be the site for the Maintenance Facility. PCA has been prayerfully working with Sound Transit to find a new home, as we believe in FAITH that God has a new home for His school.

Pacific Christian Academy will thrive as a faith-filled, vibrant, spiritual, and academic community where students love and serve God sincerely as they learn in an engaging, Biblically-based culture, and environment. Each graduate will have a sense of destiny and be equipped as a visionary leader.
