Academics

The academic program is more than a grade; it is an EE-12 comprehensive preparation for life and the plans and purposes God has for each learner. The textbooks are traditional in content and supplemented with activities that allow students to enjoy the learning and experience the content being taught. Teachers use hands-on learning, train students to work in collaborative settings, allowing them to obtain skills they will need in the workplace. As students learn to think critically and listen to one another, they learn how to defend their faith in a kind a truthful manner. Since communication is so important to 21st century teaching and learning, students practice sharing their thoughts in the lower grades through times like "Show and Tell" and as they present papers and showcase their learning in 4th grade through the senior year. Leadership skills are taught beginning in kindergarten as students lead the line and greet guests at the door; by the time students are in high school they are serving in the community and planning events as ASB members. Chapel provides a natural pace for students to learn to plan, to share articulately an important message, and to compel others to worship the God of the universe.

Along with our core studies, Pacific Christian Academy offers a variety of co-curricular activities, resources, and before/after school programs to help enrich our students' learning and assist parents. We offer a Summer Fun Program to provide our students with a positive learning environment during the summer season and also encourage students to continue learning at home.
